Put blog gossip überlord Nick Denton in charge of Gawker and you can be sure that soon Mr. Nick Douglas will be part of the fun. Because El Douglas writes hugely popular, rather diggable entries.

What happens with a bunch of nerds on a town gossip blog is a huge amount of dumb blog posts, underestimating the intellect of many commenters is a bunch of annoying webmeme reporting:
- Douglas is jealous because Chris Crocker is more popular
- Douglas discovers one funny Youtube video At least he thinks it’s funny
- Douglas is bored of getting Rickroll’d
