Robert “Scobleizer” Scoble

Robert ScobleRobert Scoble could be considered as the über-self-indulged loo blogger

Any tricks are allowed, all will do to hit the top at techmeme, even if it means violating ToS. Scoble probably was the first person live blogging, twittering a birth and we can expect that the nice Maryam will have to go through many more pregnancies, just to make sure Scobleizer can stay on top of Techmeme.

Scoble is known for his high rate of contradictions, today and tomorrow hyping someone/something/whatever, only to drop the same person/product/platform some days later. Scoble is one of the people advocating transparency and full disclosure, but regularly fails to stick to his own guns and never disclosed how much he earned at Podtech either.

Scoble proclaims to have 5000 friends on Facebook and that his network contains the A-Z of tech, but saying that at least 50% follows him to hone seems closer to reality. If there’s one thing Scoble excels in, it’s in the stupidity department. I wished I could write that Scoble is naieve, but more than naievity the will to market his own persona drives the amount blog entries based on missing tech insight and the lack of any thought and sense. A blog full of disclosure, disclosed stupidities, but sadly Scoble doesn’t understand why people love to laugh at him.

Weren’t it for his well boned body, Scoble certainly would compete with Oscar Wilde to become the world’s one and only narcist, the greatest narcist all times, but his online content rather leads us to think of him as Monsieur Jourdain in Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme (Molière).

Robert Scoble blogs at wikipedia page and can be found on virtually any social networks. Rumor is his profile has been banned from Dogster.

Memorable Quotes

We didn’t go to the moon to beat the Russians. No, we went there to prove it could be done and that we could do it (and beating the Russians was a nice icing on the cake).
Robrt Scoble has a dream.
